Mailman
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
Mailman
How unlucky can the mailman be to have to work at night in a sketchy neighborhood?
Another prototype of a retro horror game I made to improve my game development skills. In this project, I used Unity/Blender/Photoshop. It's pretty simple.

I appreciate it!
nice short
Thank you for playing, and thank you for the video.
I truly wasnt expecting that jumpscare !
sorry... or not xD
Nice this was very good game and yeah same to me when end had jumpscare don't put black screen that when the jumpscare is over, don't make a black screen end quickly right away, but maybe continue the game a bit so that as soon as the jumpscare comes, it's just done, why maybe make that the guy kidnaps the mail guy, maybe something like that could have happened and not that immediately a black screen and the end of the game there anyway otherwise game looks very good and I like it and 4/5 stars
anyway well done keep it up!
Thank you so much for playing!
I really appreciate your feedback B).
I’ve added a few more things and I’m thinking of a better ending.
Loved the premise, definitely loved the environment, but the rest needs a lot of work.
To start with, I appreciate the simplistic game page design and the font for the title, it looks very creepy and retro. In the game, the environment feels very eerie, sometimes empty and that is due to the night time, I get that. The movement and mechanics are simple, nothing too fancy.
My personal suggestions are to add music, some ambience, maybe a street white noise, footsteps, adding mail to the mailbox. I would highly encourage to have a menu and end screen (please, don't close the application by itself after the jump scare, it is very frustrating). As for the story, maybe you can add some simple notes, which the player can find on the street talking about the Mailman killer or the "Missing People" posters. You can add couple of NPCs that are near the buildings, maybe you can talk to them about the killer on the loose and they can warn you about not going outside at night. Simple things like that can vastly improve the game and add to the gameplay time.
Overall, I like the idea of this and would love to see more expanded version. Best to luck with the future games!
Thank you very much for the feedback, I’m really happy with your analysis, and I will definitely take your suggestions and tips with me. I even got more excited
Thanks, Niven!
